Kid’s Art Project with Kaleidoscope Place | Minneapolis Children’s Photographer

 

This quarter Art in Bloom Mn partnered with Kaleidoscope Place in Minneapolis to lead an art project for the children who attend their after school program. Kaleidoscope Place primarily services the Philipps Neighborhood and collaborates with Minneapolis Public Schools to provide educational after school programing with a wholistic approach.

It was an honor to work with these wonderful kids, age kindergarten to 8th grade, and get to know them a bit as  we worked together. I was impressed by their creativity and fun, genuine personalities. Each child created a collage using magazine clippings, markers, and decorative  materials such as string, stickers, jewels and poms to express something that held special meaning to them about their life.  Their thoughtful approach to their art made for some beautiful pieces that we hope they will be able to enjoy with their families in the coming weeks.
